AMEN (Advent Message to Every Nation) is a youth-led, Bible-based, and Christ-centred movement that aims to inspire and equip young people to be of service for Christ in all walks of life. The ministry was founded in 2011 in Cape Town by a group of Spirit-filled Seventh-day Adventist youth who were inspired by Jesus’ commission to share the Gospel with all mankind, as found in Matthew 28:19-20.
The members of the AMEN team come from diverse backgrounds and belong to various professions, but they are united in their mission of sharing the Gospel.
AMEN offers Biblical training through Bible studies, seminars, youth-led camps, conferences, weeks of prayer and community-based projects. It encourages Christian fellowship among youth from various socio-economic conditions, educational levels, geographical locations, racial and ethnic backgrounds. The extensive training equips young people to be missionaries wherever they are and young people are encouraged to adopt leadership duties in their local church in supporting the mission of the Church.
The annual AMEN Bible Conference is the ministry’s biggest attraction, where youth from all over South Africa gather to immerse themselves in the Bible, fellowship with each other and build lasting friendships. The conference includes tailored messages and breakout sessions that cover relevant topics for the church today, inspiring a culture of personal evangelism and spiritual growth among attendees. Since 2011, AMEN has hosted speakers from all across the globe and the conference has been the springboard for youth to take up church leadership roles and engage in missionary work all across the country.
