Good Hope Adventist High School

Good Hope Adventist High School... preparing for this life and the life to come! Why? How does one measure the outcome of this goal in this life? Here is another question to ponder upon: What is this life if not with purpose? Simply, because we are made in the image of God, for a life without death.

We can do what the Creator would have done if He was here in our place. Genesis 1:26-31 beautifully lays out God's instruction for us. That is why at Good Hope High School, we seek to improve the quality of life for our fellow man and, at the same time, prepare for a life to come. (Read More)

The folk at our local Home for the Aged are the most recent beneficiaries of our work in preparing for this life and the life to come. They needed to know that they are still loved. Moreover, that God is love, and that He loves them. So our children visited there, as we do every other year, and reminded them of this very fact.

The choir sang of Jesus and His love and shared His love by wrapping the senior citizens in their youthful embraces and showering them with tokens of love. We left more than just tangible gifts behind that day. They were blessed. We left wealthier and more confident of our purpose. We were more blessed.

The work of preparation is not done until the final destination is reached. So, we add more to our workload, homework for the soul by feeding the local impoverished community.

Our children need to know and understand the plight of others who are less fortunate. We collected food and clothing donations from our learners. They were guided into becoming the givers from a more personal point of view. To add to our collected items, we asked our collaborators, MOWCS and others, to show our children how to give. And they did. With the donated items we will be out in our community to give our gifts. No doubt, our learners will return with more than what they will give... and with an understanding of our purpose as God's created beings, and indeed His hands and His heart.
